Marcos files Senate bill upgrading salary of public school teacher

Recognizing the sacrifices of the country's public school teachers to ensure quality education, Senator Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. has filed a bill which aims to upgrade the minimum salary grade of public school teachers from Salary Grade 11 to 15. Known as "The Public School Teachers’ Salary Upgrading Act," Senate Bill No. 3106 shall cover all the public school teachers in the elementary and secondary level, whether nationally or locally funded, including those in technical and vocational schools and state universities and colleges.

Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. donated sacks of rice and assorted medicines to Negros Oriental, Cagayan de Oro City and Iligan City for the victims of the flash floods and landslides caused by tropical storm “Sendong.” Marcos, in his letters sent to Governor Roel R. Degamo of Negros Oriental, to Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Vicente Y. Emano and to Mayor Lawrence L. Cruz of Iligan City, offered the prayers of his family and staff to the suffering victims and expressed hope that they could “immediately return to their normal lives.”
